SHA-224 વિશે

SHA-224 is a cryptographic hash function from the SHA-2 family. It produces a 224-bit (56-character hexadecimal) hash value. SHA-224 is similar to SHA-256 but with a reduced digest size, achieved by truncating the internal state of the algorithm before the final step.

જ્યારે એસએચએ-224 એસએચએ-2 પરિવારનો ભાગ છે, પરંતુ તેનો એસએચએ-256 અથવા એસએચએ-512 કરતા ઓછો ઉપયોગ થાય છે. તે મુખ્યત્વે એપ્લિકેશન્સમાં ઉપયોગમાં લેવાય છે જ્યાં ટૂંકા હેશ મૂલ્યની ઇચ્છા હોય છે પરંતુ એસએચએ -2 ની સુરક્ષા હજી પણ જરૂરી છે. વર્તમાન સંશોધન મુજબ તમામ જાણીતા હુમલાઓ સામે એસએચએ-224ને સુરક્ષિત માનવામાં આવે છે.
